Sri Lankan Airlines
BSS installed and commissioned a Network
Management Solution based on HP OpenView at the
Sri Lankan Airlines. This project was awarded to
us after a competitive bid among all the leading
ICT vendors. The key criteria for SLA to award
this project to BSS was the in-house technical
competency and previous experience in installing
similar solutions within our customer base. BSS
deployed the HP OpenView Network Node Management
module. This solution enables the Networks and
Communications team of SLA to manage and monitor
their ICT infrastructure within their global
network to be remotely managed at the locations
of Katunayake and Colombo. |

MTN Networks
BSS successfully completed and handed over the
infrastructure facility for management of
Data/Video/Voice on fiber backbone deployed at
the World Trade Centre for 'internet on tap'
service on behalf of the Service Provider, MTN
Networks. This project was awarded to BSS by MTN
Networks upon receiving competitive bids from
all the leading ICT system integrators in Sri
Lanka. BSS was successful in securing this
project due to the technological innovation
offered to the customer to achieve seamless
operation on both analog and digital systems for
their end-users.
WTC is a 32-story intelligent building built by
a leading Singaporean company and managed under
the franchise for World Trade Centres. |

Connaissance Holdings
Connaissance Holdings - a public quoted Company,
has chosen momentohs®, a Hotel Management System
by Seven Seas Computers Lanka to automate the
operations of their star class hotels in the
island. As the first phase, the Culture Club
Dambulla, Le Kandyan Kandy and Reef Comber Hotel
Hikkaduwa will be connected to their Head Office
in Colombo running momentohs®'s Central
Reservations Module and these individual hotels
will be running Front Office, Back Office and
the Food & Beverages Modules. Further hotels
will be included in Phase Two. |

Seylan Bank - Millennium Branch
Installation of the largest single structured
networking system in Sri Lanka. Over 2400
universal outlets were installed to provide
connections for Voice, Data and AS 400
Terminals. The system was designed installed and
maintained by the Structured Cabling Team of
BSS. Lucent Systimax Structured Cabling products
and HP Active components were used. |

AMAN Resorts
The well-known hospitality management group,
Aman Resorts, has planned for three hotel
properties in Sri Lanka. The first hotel is
under construction and is planned for opening
for visitors during the upcoming winter season.
BSS was given the opportunity to supply, install
and commission all their computer hardware
requirements for the property. |

Ministry of Education - Secondary Education
Modernisation Project - Computerising of 141
Schools
The Ministry of Education awarded the tender to
BSS to supply, install and commission 2,270
personal computers and other related peripherals
at 141 schools in the provinces of Western,
Southern, Uva, and Sabaragamuwa. This project,
under the Secondary Education Modernization
Project (SEMP) Packages 5/6, is funded by the
Asian Development Bank and amounts to over USD
2.5Million. The project was awarded to PTS/BSS
on considering their vast experience they have
gained over the years with such similar projects
completed in record time.
BSS successfully carried out the supply,
installation and commissioning of this project
within the stipulated time frame.

Ministry of Education - General Education
Project II - First & Second Phases
PTS BSS was awarded the largest computerisation
tender so far by the Ministry of Education,
under the General Education Program II project.
This is a World Bank funded project.
Under the GEPII project, PTS/BSS undertook the
computerisation of 320 schools islandwide with
over 3,200 computers and related peripherals
installed in a LAN network environment for these
schools to use them as computer labs.
PTS/BSS was awarded the first phase of this
project to computerize 80 schools islandwide as
a pilot project. The successful completion of
this and other similar projects in record time
has been one of the criteria for the Ministry to
award this tender to PTS/BSS. |

Ministry of Tertiary Education
BSS was awarded a tender for computerisation of
over fifty vocational training centres
island-wide under an ADB funded Skills
Development Project. The project comprised
installation of computers and peripherals,
within a LAN and to provide user training at the
respective centres. |

Sabaragamuwa University
BSS was awarded a tender to computerise the
Sabaragumuwa University. Under this project, all
their departments will be computerised with a
separate computer lab for the university
students. This project is funded by the Ministry
of Tertiary Education. |

Hatton National Bank Ltd - Sithma Towers Project
(Phase 1 & 2)
The contract for voice, data and power cabling
of the new 28-story building owned by Sithma
Developments, subsidiary of Hatton National Bank
Head Office Building, was awarded to BSS. This
project included the fiber backbone and the
floor distribution comprising over 4,000 nodes
for the entire building. BSS deployed the state
of the art technology by integrating Alcatel
switches and Avaya structured cabling passive
and active components. The project was completed
in record time for the client to open the
building for occupation.
Sithma Development Limited is a subsidiary of
Hatton National Bank Limited and are the owners
of the property of the newly constructed head
office building for HNB. This building is
envisaged to be one of the most sophisticated
intelligent buildings using the state of the art
technology. |

DHL Keells (Pvt) Ltd
Installation of a structured cabling system of
with over 100 data outlets and HP networking
products. Five HP 9000 Unix Enterprise servers
and a Frame Relay have also been installed.
The network for the DHL logistics operations
located at Transware Logistics was also designed
and installed by our team. A twenty-six-node
network is connected to Colombo via CISCO
routers. |

Transware Logistics
Transware Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, is operating a
logistics yard at Ja-Ela with storage, container
and customs facilities. We have installed an
HP3000 Enterprise server and a 35- node
structured cabling system with HP active
components. |

Celltel Lanka
BSS was instrumental in developing, installing
and commissioning of a WAP gateway for Celltel
Lanka Limited with all the related hardware and
software. This solution enabled the client to
provide its GSM subscribers the facility to
access their WAP based web portal for online
transactions and to surf the net through their
mobile phones. |

Tangerine Hotels
A total solution comprising hardware and
software required to manage the hotel property
of Tangerine Hotels was provided by BSS. With
the implementation of this solution, the Front
Office, Back Office and House Keeping of this
hotel were automated. |
